Hear Our Prayer

Facing our mortality,
Confronted by the unknown,
We see that we
Are far from untouchable.

The will of the One
Is beyond our ken,
But we are not helpless.
We have Divine guidance.

As did our ancestors,
We cast our eyes
Upon the mountain top,
Up, where our strength comes from.

We come together in congregation
Seeking communal support.
Though separated by walls,
We are joined in spirit.

We implore our Creator
To please hear our prayer.
We ask the Source of All Life
To spread refuah shleimah.

Bless us now, Adonai, as in days of old.
Watch over us and all Your children.
With a strong hand and outstretched arm
Bring us safely through this new desert …
