son of _______________________________________who today am present in the city of _____________________________in the state/province of ______________________, in the country of _________________________, being under no restraint, do willingly consent to release from any religious marital obligation to me, you, my wife, known as ________________________________ also known as ___________________________, daughter of ___________________________________________, who today is present in the city of ____________________________________________, in the state/province of _________________________, in the country of ________________________.

Thus, I do release you from any religious marital obligation to me, in order that you may be completely free to follow your own path and to remarry, if you so wish.  No person may hinder you from this day onward, and you are completely free from any religious marital obligation to me.  This shall be for you from me a bill of divorcement, a letter of release, and a document of freedom in accordance with the customs of the people Israel.  I release the past into the past and receive the future as God’s gift of new possibilities for us both.
