To all who pass through these gates, they are given the gift of love and happiness.

All:
In this home, it is the tent of peace and blessing.
In this home, it is the dwelling place of mitzvot and tzedakah.

Leader:
In this home, we come together. in this tent of peace and blessing and dwelling place of mitzvot and tzedakah.

All:
To establish it as a Jewish home.

Affixing the Mezuzah (place scroll in case, recite blessing, and affix):

Traditional:
Blessed are You, Lord our God, ruler of the universe who has sanctified us with commandments and commanded us to affix the Mezuzah.
Baruch Atah, Adonai Eloheinu, melech ha'olam asher kidshanu b'mitzvotav v'tzivanu likboa mezuzah.

Modern:
Blessed are we, people of the universe, to be given the traditions of our ancestors and to affix the mezuzah.
B'ruchim anachnu, anshei ha-yikum, al kabalat masoret imahoteinu vi'avoteinu vi'al kvi'at mezuzah.

Challah (lift challah and recite blessing):

Traditional:
Blessed are you, Lord our God, ruler of the universe who has given us bread from the earth.
Baruch Atah, Adonai Eloheinu, melech ha'olam hamotzi lechem min ha'aretz.

Modern:
Blessed are we, people of the universe, to be given the traditions of our ancestors and to be given the bread from the earth.
B'ruchim  anachnu, anshei ha-yikum, l kabalat masoret imahoteinu vi'avoteinu, hamotzi lechem min ha'aretz.
